INTRODUCTION
Campbell College is a grammar school for boys which was founded in 1894 and stands in an impressive wooded estate of some 100 acres, located in the eastern suburbs of Belfast City. All the academic, boarding and sporting needs of the College and its Junior School are catered for within these grounds.

Over the past two years Campbell College has undertaken some major building projects including three new computer laboratories, Art and Design Centre, 10 classrooms and multi purpose Hall. The Governors are committed to ensuring facilities are continually reviewed and improved.

ETHOS
The ethos of Campbell College is that of a community of pupils, staff, parents and governors sharing common aims and offering mutual support. The College strives to develop the inherent potential of each individual pupil and to prepare pupils for the demands, opportunities and responsibilities of adult life.

THE CURRICULUM
At Campbell College we offer our pupils a broad and balanced curriculum leading to GCSE, AS and A2 Levels. Our aim is to ensure that each boy achieves the best academic results of which he is capable and to provide support and advice regarding choice of subjects and career opportunities.

BOARDING DEPARTMENT
The College ethos overflows into our excellent boarding department where a complete refurbishment of the facilities has been undertaken and which offers accommodation for 80 boys. Years 8, 9 and 10 occupy small dormitories with a maximum of five per dormitory while boys in Years 11-14 are each provided with a private study/bedroom. Other boarding facilities include a kitchen, games/recreation rooms together with common rooms with satellite TV, DVD and VCR facilities.

The Boarding Department allows boarders to take the maximum benefit from the College’s facilities while offering the ambience of family life. The College Library is easily accessible to the boarding department for supervised prep for boys in Years 8-10 during the evening. Internet (restricted) and email facilities are also available and boys are permitted to bring their own desktop or laptop computers and personal audio equipment to school. Boarders have the added benefit of making full use of the College’s Sports Complex, and use of the Sixth Form Centre is extended during the evenings and weekends to all boarders.

Within the boarding community a minimum of five staff are on duty each day to offer supervision, support, encouragement and organisation. Medical cover is available at all times and dental treatment is organised on request or in an emergency. The school laundry is in operation throughout the normal school week and each boy has his own ‘ laundry pigeonhole’ from where his washed and ironed clothes can be collected.

At Campbell College we pride ourselves in striving to meet our pupils’ and parents’ needs. The boarding department offers flexible short-term boarding options and any parents wishing to avail of this facility may contact the school for further details. (This service is subject to availability)
